The Atlanta History Center
The Atlanta History Center is located in the lush area of the city known as Buckhead. The Center sits on 32 acres of gardens and wildlife trails, and it houses the 1840's Tullie Smith Farm, complete with farm animals. The Center is also home to the 1928 Swan House mansion and Swan Coach House restaurant. The museum features permanent exhibitions such as "Down the Fairway with Bobby Jones" (one of the greatest golfers to ever live) and changing exhibitions showcasing the Civil War, African-American heritage, and Southern folk art. The Center now includes an expanded wing dedicated solely to the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games, which were held in Atlanta.
